Next Movement Studio

Next Movement needed a brand that would attract musicians who shared the founders’ obsession with craft while establishing a clear position in an industry driven by speed and output. Rather than looking backwards, we used musical heritage as a foundation—drawing from the visual language and culture of legendary recording studios to build a brand around one shared ambition: creating the future classics.

(Project Information)

Next Movement was founded by musicians with a deep respect for craft, culture and the history of recorded music. Their ambition wasn't to become another recording studio, but to build an environment for artists who cared about creating work with lasting value. While that philosophy shaped everything they did, the brand didn't yet communicate it. Our work began by uncovering the ideas already embedded within the studio. Through workshops, conversations and strategic research, we identified the tension that defined Next Movement: the space between craftsmanship and progress. The founders weren't interested in recreating the past, nor in chasing technology for its own sake. They believed the strongest work emerges when heritage informs what comes next. That idea became the foundation for the entire brand. Rather than borrowing from vintage aesthetics, we drew inspiration from the visual language and cultural codes of legendary recording studios, treating history as a foundation instead of a style. This led to the central rallying cry: Creating Future Classics—a simple expression of the studio's ambition to honour musical history while contributing to it. The identity system was built to reinforce that belief across every touchpoint. Typography, art direction, graphic elements and tone of voice all balance warmth with precision, creating a brand that feels rooted in musical culture without becoming nostalgic. Every design decision supports the same strategic idea: looking forward without forgetting the past. The result is a brand that gives Next Movement a clear position within an increasingly crowded market—not simply as a place to record music, but as a studio for musicians who value craft over trends and see music as something worth building for the long term.
